Digital Systems Technician
Overview The Digital Technology Technician will provide technical support and training for dental students and faculty in the use of digital dental technology, specifically 3Shape systems. This role will ensure the smooth operation of digital equipment and workflows and will serve as a liaison between the dental program, IT department, and 3Shape support. Responsibilities + Technical Support: + Be on-call during clinic hours to assist students with technical issues related to 3Shape scanners, software, and workflows. + Remotely troubleshoot issues using TeamViewer and provide guidance on software and hardware problems. + Maintain and repair scan carts in clinics and the Sim Lab. + Coordinate with 3Shape support for repairs and shipping of scanners. + Training and Education: + Conduct training sessions on digital workflows, including digital wax-ups, anterior smile design, and digital camera usage. + Assist in running preclinic and clinical digital dentistry courses. + System Management: + Ensure all systems are updated with the latest software versions. + Liaise with IT departments, 3Shape, and digital faculty to address technical concerns. + Participate in weekly clinical operations meetings. + Lab Management: + Oversee and maintain the digital lab on the third floor. + Ensure a well-organized and functional lab environment. Qualifications Education/ Experience + Familiarity with digital camera systems and software (e.g., Canon EOS Utility) + Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer) + CDT (Certified Dental Technician) or 5 to 10 years lab experience Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities + Knowledge of dental laboratory procedures and workflows + Strong technical skills, including proficiency with 3Shape software and hardware + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities + Effective communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Demands + This position requires compliance with Touro's Vaccine Mandate policy. Maximum Salary USD $100,303.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $80,242.00/Yr.
