This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.
Dimensional Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Dimensional Engineer will include: Compensation (Range): $43.50 - $47.50 / hour Use company and industry standard processes and tools to plan, design, manage, and utilize gauges for measurement of components and assemblies Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance principle Interpret dimensional data from inspection equipment on Stampings, Subassemblies and Body Shop Work closely with Press Room and Body Shop to make coordinated dimensional continuous improvement Ensure gauge calibrations; certification; and repeatability and reproducibility Support WISA in all sub assembly related quality issues Must be required to work all shifts and rotate as necessary (days and nights) - must be required to work weekends as required by the position This position supervises UAW employees

As a Dimensional Engineer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s Degree Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team Self-motivated team leader capable of providing a clear vision for success and deliver results Strong knowledge of statistics (charts, data collecting, repeatability studies) and CITRIX/WBDM reporting systems Proficiency in GD&T, part fixturing, holding datums, and tolerance stack-ups as applied to sheet metal Experience with virtual manufacturing tools (TCe & Vismockup) Ability to multitask and operate in challenging situations within timing constraints Highly organized for official document record retention 5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
