Summary:
The Dining Room Supervisor at Riverside Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction for our residents. This role includes managing the wait staff, coordinating with the kitchen team, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient dining environment. The Dining Room Supervisor will also play a key role in training staff, handling resident concerns, and ensuring that all dining services meet regulatory and safety standards.



Required Experience:




Preferred Experience:

Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and customer service abilities, knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Required Licensure/Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe Certification is required.


Preferred Licensure/Education:

Training on Heimlich maneuver is preferred.
Certification in hospitality or dining room management is a plus.

Compensation:

Minimum hourly rate: $19.95

Maximum hourly rate: $23.89

 

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and manage the performance of the wait staff, ensuring that all team members provide courteous and efficient service to residents.
• Resident Experience: Monitor and enhance the dining experience for residents, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and effectively.
• Coordination with Kitchen: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that meals are served in a timely manner and according to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Training and Development: Train new dining room staff on service standards, safety protocols, and resident interaction, ensuring consistent service quality.
• Quality Control: Oversee the setup and cleanliness of the dining room before, during, and after meal service, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all dining operations comply with health department regulations, food safety standards, and facility policies.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dining room supplies, such as utensils, tableware, and linens, and coordinate with the appropriate departments to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Resident Relations: Build positive relationships with residents, regularly seeking feedback to improve dining services and address any issues that arise.
