POSTION SUMMARY:
To plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Dining Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Director to assure that quality services are provide on a daily basis and that the Dining Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Must be able to communicate with all residents, staff and visitors.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalent. Must successfully complete all testing when/as required by State law.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Prefer two [2] years experience in a supervisory capacity in a nursing care facility or other related medical facility.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:Ability to work with the Director to provide quality Dining services and to maintain the Dining Services Department in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Produces high quality documentation as evidence by the following: Work with administration and the Activity Department to plan menus and provide special foods for parties and/or other scheduled programs. Assume responsibility for compliance with sanitation requirements. Supervise the operation of Dining Services. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Ensure compliance with operating budget. Schedule and maintain dining services staff. Coordinate with the Resident Care Director to ensure nutritional goals or each resident are met. Document the dining services component of residents’ care plans. Assume responsibility for compliance with sanitation requirements. Plan food substitutions for residents who refuse or are unable to eat food served. Plan and conduct in-service training program. Ensures compliance with state regulations regarding Health and Disease Controls, Cleanliness, Planning of menus and Serving of Food, Cleanliness of Equipment and Utensils, and Hand washing. Perform all other duties as assigned by Management. Takes steps necessary to produce excellent work in any task or job that is assigned.
