In this role, you will act as the hotel's representative to prospective clients and customers seeking to rent rooms, meeting spaces, and food and beverage services. You will respond to sales inquiries, initiate new sales, prospect and qualify leads, solicit potential clients, entertain clients, conduct site visits, answer questions, determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts, and analyze lost business for the hotel(s). You will develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals, and work with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of sales experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.

Shift: Business Hours, Monday through Friday, additional hours as needed

Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is 70,000-80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing? 

\n

As a Diplomatic Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

\n\nRepresenting the hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with clients requiring large and complex group accommodations (typically over 50 guest rooms), with or without meeting space and/or on-site catering, based on market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.\nEngaging in significant interactions with customers to address sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues.\nNegotiating contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.\nInitiating the preparation of proposals and contracts to inform prospective customers about hotel guest rooms, meeting space, banquet date, space, and rate availability. Developing and quoting prices for these services.\nParticipating in outside sales activities to explore business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets. Directing site visits for respective accounts and participating in tradeshows, industry, and customer events.\nAttending weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.\nConducting site inspections with potential customers, showcasing guest rooms, meeting spaces, banquet facilities, and other hotel amenities.\n\n
