All Native Group is seeking a Diplomatic Technology Trainer. The Diplomatic Technology Trainer is responsible for providing instructor-led classroom and virtual training on a wide range of technology systems and platforms used by the Department of State (DOS) to support diplomatic missions and national security. This includes training on classified and unclassified networks, voice and data systems, land mobile radio (LMR) systems, cybersecurity, remote access services, and communications security (COMSEC). The trainer will develop and deliver curricula, manage classroom technology, and provide individual support to students as needed.
The Diplomatic Technology Trainer plays a critical role in ensuring DOS personnel, including Information Management Specialists (IMS), Information Management Technical Specialists (IMTS), and locally engaged staff (LES) employees, are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively use technology in support of U.S. diplomatic efforts worldwide. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise across a wide range of systems with strong instructional abilities to deliver engaging and impactful training programs.
Essential Functions
Design and deliver hands-on instruction, lectures, and briefings on various technology topics, including:- Official curricula and proprietary platforms
- Voice and data networking systems across an IP network
- LMR systems, both local (VHF and UHF) and long distance (High Frequency – HF)
- Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity best practices
- COMSEC equipment and systems
- Mobile device management (MDM) and remote access services
- Satellite phones and terminals
Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, guides, and manualsCoordinate classroom facilities and setup equipment for both domestic and overseas training deliveryManage student attendance, administer quizzes and surveys, and provide performance feedback and counselingConsult with customers to analyze requirements and adapt training materials to meet DOS needsStay current with industry standards and update curricula and courseware accordinglyProvide one-on-one tutoring and support to students as neededAssist with the physical installation and configuration of classroom technology and training platformsCompetencies

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Teaching, testing, development, and program management take place based on the needs of FSI, Monday through Friday, 0615-1745 EST. A 45-minute lunch break is required for all contractors working five hours or more during the workday. The 45-minute lunch break must be taken between the hours of 1030 and 1400.
Domestic travel may be required for approximately 5% of the year.
International travel may be required for approximately 5% of the year.
Experience
A combination of experience with 3 or more of the main skills below satisfies the requirements.
Radio Systems:- Installing, programming, and maintaining LMR equipment (handheld, mobile, repeaters)
- Using analyzers to test and maintain LMR equipment
- Tuning duplexer equipment (band pass, band reject, pass/reject duplexers)
- Programming and using High Frequency (HF) radio equipment, including proper on-air and voice protocols
Computer Systems:- Directory services and desktop administration
- Server-based computing, including terminal services and thin-client technology
- Administration of classified computer networks and shielded equipment
Voice Systems:- Programming and maintaining enterprise-grade telephone systems and call servers
- Voice mail systems and IP telephony
- Various handsets from leading manufacturers
Network Infrastructure:- Network cabling standards and best practices
- Cable handling, termination, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience with various cable types, including coaxial, twisted pair, and fiber optic
Cybersecurity:- Advanced knowledge of current cybersecurity tradecraft and IA regulations
- Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, and encryption systems
Remote Access Services:- Mobile and desktop operating systems
- Mobile Device Management platforms and their features
- Policy implementation for device usage, application management, and data access
Communications Security (COMSEC):- Operation and maintenance of IT systems that provide COMSEC
- Cryptographic devices
Satellite Communications:- Satellite phones
- Global satellite network terminals

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or cybersecurity; or a combination of 5 years of experience in technology training and instruction and engineering work in 3 or more related fields of instruction from “Technical Skills and Systems” above. Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification or completion of DOS Training Tradecraft course (PD505) within 180 days of hireAdditional Eligibility Qualifications
