JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Molina's Behavioral Health function provides leadership and guidance for utilization management and case management programs for mental health and chemical dependency services and assists with implementing integrated Behavioral Health care management programs.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Serves as the subject matter expert for MHI behavioral healthcare management including knowledge of best practices, services included across the full continuum of care, corporate model for management of behavioral healthcare, and promotion of the integrated patient centered medical home. Has knowledge of state plan requirements and understanding of the cross-functional aspects of operational and healthcare service departments, reporting and finances as they relate to management of behavioral healthcare services. Responsible for the program development, implementation, and management of behavioral health programs and initiatives within the organization or health plan. Responsible for the analysis of the quality of member care received and for the development of plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement. Responsible for identification and review of new products to enhance behavioral healthcare service delivery, safety net planning, development of alternative levels of care (with anticipated improved outcomes with cost offsets), predictive modeling, integration with medical care management, or other behavioral health approaches that support the patient centered medical home. Represents Molina in external meetings regarding behavioral healthcare management with state regulators, provider groups, community service agencies, advocacy groups, or other stakeholders.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of Behavioral Health experience. Minimum 3 years of management experience. Two years in managed behavioral healthcare setting. Experience demonstrating an understanding of all elements of the full continuum of care spectrum of BH services (e.g., inpatient and outpatient services, community support services, substance abuse treatment programming, etc.). Familiarity of treatment modalities and programs across ages inclusive of child and adult specialty programming.Required License, Certification, Association
Active and unrestricted Masters or Doctoral level licensure as a clinical behavioral health professional (PhD, PsyD, LCPC/LPC, LMFT, LCSW).

Work experience in behavioral health managed care , preferably for Medicaid populations
