What you need to know about the role
• Regulatory compliance resides in the Global Financial Crimes (GFC), Partnership, and Network Compliance organization that fosters strong compliance culture, executes second line of defense obligations, and advises business units and functions across the enterprise
• You will serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the PayPal Digital legal entity, and provide global financial crimes oversight for the Blockchain, Crypto, and Digital Currencies (BCDC) business unit and the Enterprise Know Your Customer (KYC) program

In your day-to-day role you will:
Advise senior leadership and business clients on PayPal’s GFC program as it relates to BCDC-driven initiatives (e.g., crypto Buy/Hold/Sell/Transfers/Checkout, stablecoin-related cross-border payment/treasury initiatives, geo expansion/licensing (e.g., MiCA), etc.)Work collaboratively with BCDC and first-line GFC leaders to develop/enhance GFC-related policies/procedures/playbooks, implement blockchain analytics tools/technology (including defining requirements), oversee vendor engagements, and develop a roadmap of broader integration between blockchain analytics solutions and PayPal’s internal ecosystemDevelop close working relationships with key leaders and stakeholders within Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development, Global Regulatory Relations, Government Relations, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Human Resources functionsParticipate in relationship-building and ongoing program reviews by external stakeholders, including regulators, bank partners, and law enforcementProviding high quality AML/CFT subject matter expertise in a clear, solution-oriented, and customer-focused mannerPartner with BCDC Business Risk & Control Leads (BRCLs) to coordinate/drive 3rd and 4th party PYUSD (PayPal’s branded stablecoin) ecosystem development initiatives as well as escalations (when needed)Collaborate with Market Compliance MLROs on non-US crypto-related initiatives (e.g., United Kingdom, Singapore, etc.)Serve as the GFC leader of the second-line of defense for PayPal Digital (e.g., provide governance/oversight, assist with Board reporting/presentations, etc.)What do you need to bring
