Fosters client relationships and is responsible for accurately recording and reconciling the administrative aspects of performed catering events at each unit. Ensures that food product quality and presentation meet the standards set forth by the CtY corporate office. To learn more, select the link https://vimeo.com/314098750 **Your Pay:** $85,000 - $95,000 / year **Our Benefits:** + 401(k) + Employee discount + Health Benefits include medical/dental/vision/other voluntary benefits + Paid time off to support work-life balance + Consistent schedule- primarily Monday-Friday, no late evenings/weekends + Daily Family style meal + Entertainment & travel discounts + Training and Development including top-tier culinary instruction and tuition reimbursement + Growth Opportunities and promotion from within + Employee referral program + Open and positive work environment **What you'll be doing:** **Essential Functions and Responsibilities** + Work closely with unit Chef Managers and District Managers to provide overall planning, direction and control of catering events on and off site. + Interact with client management at each location and establish/maintain effective performance based client and customer relations. + Monitor catering operations by visiting units to plan projects, implement new processes and technology, and to ensure sufficient resources are available for catered events. + Write proposals and present them to the client in a timely manner. + Utilize Catertrax as the central database to record events. + Ensure event set up meets Cater to You presentation standards and client expectations. + Ensure proper staffing of catered events focusing, on efficiency and adhering to budget. + Provide strategic leadership to units to ensure client satisfaction and account retention. + Must be highly motivated with good communication skills and capable of leading by example. + Demonstrates superior time management skills which include managing multiple events and activities at the same time. + Develops and manages catering standard operating procedures. + Provide services in support of the sales effort through feasibility studies, pricing, and quality service. + Creates continuity between daily food service operations and catered events execution in the areas of customer service, production, and safety and sanitation. **Working Conditions and Physical Demands** + Inside work in kitchen has exposure to damp and hot temperatures for long periods of time. + Outside exposure to weather conditions. + Must be able to travel to multiple locations on weekdays and weekends. + Must be able to lift up to 40lbs in food product and equipment. + Prolonged standing, walking and bending in addition to sitting in front of a computer. + Must follow safety precautions. + Must follow HACCP and NY State Board of Health safety guidelines. **What we're looking for:** **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)** + Program Management: The ability to establish courses of action for self and others, ensure that work is completed efficiently, adjust priorities, track progress and identify issues, remove barriers, and leverage resources. + Quality: Know all units operating standards and hold the catering staff accountable for consistently meeting those standards. Explain and measure expected results for catering events including setting up and maintaining approved filling systems, trace systems, keeping clients information organized according to standards, etc. Meet deadlines and respond to leads in a timely manner. + Inventory Control: Knowledge of the proper procedures for maintaining control of catering inventory, including checking in products, tracking product usage, and ordering products. + Financial Analysis: Knowledge of and the ability to use basic financial analysis to understand profitability of catering events. + Cost Analysis: Knowledge of and the ability to perform cost analyses to support catering profitability. + Food Allergy Awareness: Knowledge of all kinds of food allergies and keep well-informed of on new information regarding new allergies, treatments and preventions. + Menu Planning and Development: Knowledge of menu planning and the ability to work with each Chef Manger to develop menus for catering events. + Products: Knowledge of supplies and equipment. + Supply and Labor Management: The ability to develop a supply, services, and staffing operating budget required to effectively execute work objectives. + Project Management: The ability to plan resource requirements and secure resources to ensure the successful completion of catering events and to effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently. + Delegating and Directing: The ability and willingness to delegate the authority to complete catering events, giving clear direction as to what needs to be done, and monitoring performance against a predetermined deadline and/or measure of quality to ensure timely completion of assignments. + Relationships: The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive working relationships with clients, supervisors, staff, managers, customers, and vendors. + Industry Awareness: Knowledge of past, current, and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the industry. + Employee Management: Knowledge of basic HR tasks including employee relations and recruiting. Be familiar with state and federal laws and ensure that policies and procedures are followed. **Education, Training and Experience** + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Culinary or related discipline. + 5+ years of experience in the Food Service, Hospitality, or related field is required. + Experience in leading multiple teams in a diverse environment. + Experience providing alignment and innovation generating measurable outcome for multiple clients and locations with at least $10 million in yearly operations. + HACCP certified preferred.
