JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing a defined product line or work unit in a department assuming entire span of operation (24/7). A Director is expected to maintain educational and skill levels necessary to function as staff. Is actively engaged and models the skills and behaviors of the 9 Studer Principles leading to an outcome of organizational excellence. A Director may be responsible for budget planning and oversight. Reports to either the Administrative Director or an Executive, such as a Chief. Is an active advocate of Blessing Health System in the community.

Provides oversight for all IS Applications, Application Administration and Development and IS project implementations. Has overall responsibility to ensure efficient and effective use of applications to support clinical and business workflows of all corporate entities, as well as oversight for the interfaces to connect these systems, and application development within these systems. Leads the Clinical IT Advisory Committee (CITAC), leads the Business IT Advisory Committee (BITAC), and contributes to the IT Governance / Steering Committee. Also is active in the Information Security Group and the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC). Has significant input into the department’s budgets, contracts, maintenance agreements, and purchasing functions. Guides the large project implementations and mentors the project managers for these major implementations. Works with IS Management to document and update IT Strategic Plans for all entities, and to plan IS application resources for all projects in coordination with the organization’s strategic plan and goals. Participates in organizational committees as needed. This position provides leadership and direction on department matters to accomplish departmental objectives, assists with and recommends the department’s capital and operating budget and is responsible to operate within that budget. This position assures that user departments or user organizations are satisfied with the level of service and the quality of the Information Systems’ product and works with other members of the management team to resolve computer-related problems. This position is an active advocate of Blessing Hospital in the community. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Is effective in communicating the organization’s mission, values and customer service standards.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Four year college degree in Computer Science or Information Management. A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in corporate computer operations, system design, technical support. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Information Systems or Business Administration. A minimum of 5 years management experience. License/Certifications/Special Requirements: N/A Pay Status: EXEMPT
