We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to join our corporate development team at PayPal. This role will partner with Business Unit Leadership and the M&A deal team across the full lifecycle of an M&A deal, leading due diligence through to post-acquisition integration and delivery of our North Star deal objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. M&A Due Diligence leadership

Business Case Development: Work closely with BU and M&A team to develop integrated (i.e. ‘Pro-forma’) business case highlighting value drivers, work streams, dependency teams, key risks, and alignment for senior leadership. 

Deal Structuring: Work closely with the M&A deal team and legal advisors to structure M&A transactions designed to unlock our 'North star' deal objectives. 

2. Strategic planning and Integration leadership

M&A Project Management: Oversee the full M&A lifecycle, from initial deal evaluation to post-merger integration, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (finance, legal, HR, IT, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth execution across all phases of the deal.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of the deal.

Post-Merger Integration: Lead and manage the integration process post-acquisition, aligning operational and strategic goals while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

3. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Leadership & Team Collaboration: Provide leadership and direction to Business Unit leadership, M&A project teams, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure seamless execution.

Executive Communication: Regularly communicate progress and challenges to the PayPal executive team and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Change Management: Act as a key driver in facilitating organizational change post-acquisition, ensuring smooth cultural and operational transitions.

Requirements:8+ years in Management Consulting, Corporate Development (2+ years required), Product leadership, M&A integrationPrivate Equity or Investment Banking Strong experience in M&A strategy and planning, as well as leading all aspects of a deal to integration Adept with technology and a strategic thinker – knows what is best for the business, can develop strategic plans Excellent judgment, mature, and experience working with Board level executives Experience in developing teams (training, performance evaluations, culture building)

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$118700 to $246290
