Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. *Job Summary: * The Director, Clinical Practice for Perioperative Services is responsible for managing and directing perioperative services related to best practice with continuous improvement in all outcomes. Directs management staff within Perioperative Services to achieve outcome targets. Hardwires performance Improvement activities within Perioperative Services. *Qualifications: * * Education: * * Bachelor's Degree in Health Care–related fields strongly desired. * Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, preferred. *Work Experience: * * 5 years OR experience and progressive leadership required * Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. * Ability to lead, support and build on patient satisfaction strategies with any department that impacts the surgical patient. * Ability to communicate effectively. * Experience in cost savings ,safety, and quality initiatives * demonstrate success in improving patient experience scores. * Demonstrate success in staff hiring/retention * Experience in managing and analyzing operating and capital budget * Possess good problem solving skills. * Ability to work with computerized clinical information systems * Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, integrity and diplomacy. * Working knowledge of Federal, State and regulatory requirements in quality assessment, Performance Improvement methodologies and hospital systems is preferred.
