Nursing director is the designated leader for a specific nursing units. He/she is responsible for the patient population and assigned staff. The nursing director plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates the units' activities. The nursing director is responsible for the patient care, actions, quality and outcomes on the units. The nursing director collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and safe patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. He/she is responsible for the education of and compliance with the National Patient Safety Goals and NHS policies, practices and protocols; and aids in the professional development of staff. The nursing director has twenty-four hour accountability for the units.
Requirements:
*Bachelors degree in Nursing
*5 years minimum supervisor experience
*7-10 years of experience in the field
*Current Arkansas registered nurse license
