Key Responsibilities:

The Enterprise Connectivity Ops mission is to provide connectivity and services for United Airlines. This role will support our campuses, remote workers, and our connectivity on and to the public cloud. This leader will guide our technology, vendor, and people strategy as networking continues to move to software and the Cloud becomes the dominant paradigm. Enterprise Connectivity is part of our Digital Technology organization, focused on enabling and supporting the entirety of United Airlines and all of its divisions with advanced infrastructure and tools.

Operate and be responsible for all airports, campus and remote offices, contact centers, Cloud, and 3rd party network connectivity, and their associated architecture, engineering, operations, and vendor relationshipsLead and develop a large team of world class operational talent passionate about networking at true enterprise scaleOperate as an inspiring leader internally and externally as we educate on next-generation networkingWork with senior leadership across cybersecurity, end user enablement, and various business groups across the airline (operations, digital channels, contact centers, etc.)Recruit and lead from the core of our Operational Excellence culture, with diversity, inclusion, and belonging at the centerContinue to evolve to software defined networkKey areas of focus include secure access and software defined network connectivity, application services, network automation / orchestration, and integration with the public cloud and SaaS

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field3+ years of experience in software engineering5+ years of experience leading network teams at scale5+years of experience working in or adjacent to a cloud environment7+ years of experience in network engineeringMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Essential communication and influence skills with a passion for enablementExperience hiring, leading and growing diverse teams in multiple disparate physical locationsExcellent track record of vendor management at large scale
The base pay range for this role is $171,475.00 to $233,640.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
