Provides strategic direction and leadership for food and nutrition services department. Develops new and emerging business solutions for sustained growth and effective day to day operational success. Is in alignment with achieving the organizational goals, meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares an annual budget. Reviews monthly financial statistics and plan expenditures within budget guidelines. Monitors and justifies expenditures exceeding budgeted targets. Seeks innovative ways to reduce operating expenses and develops the necessary programs to deliver cost-effective services and products.Executes strategic plans by implementing short and long term goals by continually assessing services provided for quality, cost effectiveness, customer service and engagement results. Provides recommendations for improvement and/or business development in order to achieve outcomes and goals for system-wide quality, service and financial viability.Prepares and updates statistical reports to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.Collaborates with administration and medical staff to maintain productive and effective relationships. Proficient in conflict resolution, group dynamics and facilitation of significant projects. Participates in committees and/or functions as appropriate and/or required by the organization.Recruits, interviews, promotes, disciplines, and terminates staff. Sets performance standards and goals for direct reports and the department. Evaluates and counsels staff on their performance by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, recognize, coach, correct and motivate. Monitors productivity and workload statistics to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Provides for the education needs of the staff.Reviews customer and patient satisfaction indicators on a regular basis, implementing mechanisms and action plans for immediate issue resolution.Establishes a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits and inspections, conducting safety related training and maintaining on going communications with employees of the department.Performs other duties as assigned.

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent keyboard use/data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Rare climbing.REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
