Summary

The Director of Operations will oversee and optimize the day-to-day management of the Rooftop Inspection and Repair vertical, ensuring seamless integration of services, operational excellence, and exceptional client satisfaction.  Build and manage high-performing teams, streamline processes, and drive efficiency while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.  

Primary Duties

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs Manage field operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics, to ensure timely service delivery Oversee the establishment of a centralized Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) for coordinating resources and vendors nationwide

Team Management and Development:

Recruit, train, and lead multidisciplinary teams, including inspection technicians and repair specialists Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Implement training programs to ensure team alignment with safety protocols and technological advancements

Performance and Efficiency:

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and reduce costs Partner with the Director of Technology to integrate automation and analytics tools into operations

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety and regulatory standards Proactively address safety risks through training, audits, and preventive measures

Working Relationships

The Director of Operations reports to the VP of Rooftop Services.  Oversee and manage a team of managers and individual contributors

Compensation

The initial compensation will range from $178,000 - $205,000

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred Years of Experience: Seven years in operations management, preferably within industrial services or construction sectors Five years of experience managing a team of professional employees Demonstrated success in building and scaling field-based teams in complex, multi-site environments

Specific Skills and Knowledge

Operational Expertise:

Strong background in process optimization, resource management, and logistics Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for national or regional operations

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels
