Primary Duties

1. Develops, coordinates and implements value-added pipeline marketing strategies to ensure that customer growth and additional margins are realized by providing services to market hubs and to various customers. Oversees and coordinates marketing operations for transportation services

2. Monitors and evaluates market conditions on a daily basis. Assists in the development of rate strategy, designing, and scheduling priority transportation and storage open seasons for optimal results.

3. Maintains industry presence through customer events, attendance and participation in industry trade shows and industry events. Builds relationships with customers, initiates and maintains customer contacts, facilitates meeting with customers at company facilities and at customers' premises.

4. Manages activities including the negotiation and development of service contracts to determine the risks and opportunities for the company.

5. Develops, documents, recommends, and supports inter- and intra-departmental procedures to ensure consistency and reliability of rate quotes, transactions, customer communications, and efficient business systems transactions.

6. Interfaces with support staff, other pipeline marketing personnel, transportation administration, scheduling, gas control, and other personnel to ensure consistent work practices and sharing of knowledge to optimize efforts in providing customer services.

7. Provides analytical and creative input in marketing program development while also developing new services for Atmos Pipeline - Texas (APT) customers.

8. Communicates available transportation capacity and available storage, parking, and lending services to market participants on a nondiscriminatory basis.

9. Adheres to risk management processes and controls. Assists in identifying and assessing business risks, controls, strengths, and improvement opportunities.

10. Creates new and maintains existing APT data repositories for technical and fundamental analysis. Trains APT staff on the maintenance and integrity of analytical tools.

11. Maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, trains, motivates and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field and seven years related experience; or equivalent.

Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate, persuade, motivate and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.

Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analysis involving financial returns, ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

Computer Skills:
Requires working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics.

Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment.
