Job Details:

This role is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Sanitation Center of Excellence. This role is responsible for: (1) defining and executing sanitation best practices (2) developing industry leading sanitation processes and procedures, (3) supporting all  Tyson facilities in execution of these processes and procedures, (4) fostering a continuous improvement sanitation culture across all Tyson facilities , (4) ensuring external sanitation suppliers, when utilized, are following Tyson defined processes and procedures, and (5) creating and leading a team to deliver sanitation executional excellence.  This position will work cross functionally with Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA), Procurement, Business Unit and facility operational leadership, and Senior Tyson leadership. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish sanitation best practices and policies for all Tyson in-house sanitation teams and third-party sanitation vendors in facilities.Create the process, monitor, and track adherence to the policy for in-house sanitation teams and sanitation suppliers.Identify new best practices in sanitation, assess, and if applicable, modify the existing policy for improvements.   Deploy these changes within Tyson.Monitor and report on progress towards achieving functional goals/target metrics; proactively address performance gaps or issues potentially impacting success as neededUnderstand and manage Total Cost of Ownership for Plant Sanitation services with the objective to continually optimize to secure best value. Drive and deliver continuous process improvement.Work closely with FSQA and our processing facilities to mitigate food safety and quality risk through the policy.Participate as a team member in executive-level Sanitation Supplier Relationships and support Supplier Business Reviews.Support senior-level FSQA management on any new developmental efforts.Supervise and coach team members to drive continuous improvement of performance and further growth/development of individual skill sets and knowledgeWork collaboratively with other functional areas as appropriate to add value for Tyson

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Experience: 10+ years’ experience in Food Production and Quality. 5+ Years leading teams.

Computer Skills:  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in spreadsheet, database, and statistical analysis. Familiarity with eProcurement Source-to Pay-tools desirable

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Strong presentation skills are required.

Special Skills: Senior leadership experience with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with the team and all levels and areas of the organization. Strong experience in Food and Quality is a must.  Strong analytical and interpretive skills to recognize, comprehend and assess data, complex issues, and industry information.

Strong ability to present complex topics in an effective and concise manner to broad-based audiences including various levels of management. Excellent customer service, problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong ability to identify, assess and mitigate risk. Effective and proven strategic planning ability. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously. Strong change management skills to promote a shared vision and inspires others to embrace new opportunities.

Supervisory:  Responsible for managing and developing team of personnel. Demonstrated ability to influence without positional authority.

Travel: Estimated to be 25%-40% of time
