Starting rate: $11 an hour

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older requiredCompletion of High School Diploma or GEDSatisfactory performance on a competency evaluation and annual reevaluationMust have available, reliable transportation to and from assignmentsCompletion of all health screeningsSatisfactory references and background screenings are obtained prior to hire

Responsibilities:

Helps the client to maintain good personal hygiene including bathing, grooming and dressingAssists in maintaining a healthy, safe environmentAssist the client with meals.Assists the client with transfers and ambulation with or without an assistive deviceProvides medication remindersEncourages the client to become as independent as possible according to the nursing care planMaintains client/family confidentiality at all timesReports any change in client’s mental or physical condition or in the client’s home situation to the companyPerforms routine housekeeping tasks as related to a safe and comfortable environment for the client.

Functional Abilities:

Must be able to stoop and bendMust be able to travel to prospective clients’ residencesMust be able to safely lift, turn and transfer clients weighing up to 40 pounds
