**Direct Hire Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician for a direct hire position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing metal processing and recycling equipment, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair metal processing and recycling equipment, including furnaces (rotary and electric), vibration tables, shears, lift trucks, saws, and forklifts. + Maintain optical sorters and conveyors. + Troubleshoot and repair PLCs. + Perform maintenance on lift trucks. + Conduct basic welding (TIG). + Troubleshoot electrical issues. + Perform facilities maintenance. + Follow a preventive maintenance (PM) schedule. + Work off of work orders. + Maintain overhead cranes and tow motors. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience (entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude considered). + Experience with motors and gearboxes. + Experience with 480v and 3-phase electrical systems. + Basic welding experience. + Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. + Experience troubleshooting PLCs. + Electrical wiring experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer a very competitive benefits package, including $18/week for single individuals with great coverage and in-network providers. You will need to wear respirators in certain areas and must be willing to be clean-shaven as beards are not allowed. Shifts operate on a rotating schedule: Week 1: one day off, two on, two off, then two on; Week 2: one day on, two off, two on, then two off. Day shift hours are from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, and evening shift hours are from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am.
