Direct Sales Producer

Job Description

The Direct Sales Producer is responsible for bringing in new member sales for the Individual Market segment. Provides licensed agent sales support for both customer-initiated and outbound lead follow up calls and emails with prospects interested in purchasing health insurance products sold both in the Over 65 and Under 65 segments. Will work to grow both the Individual under 65 and Senior Market market share and maximize our overall direct channel sales levels.

What You'll Do

Initiates all outbound and follow-up sales for leads across a multi segment and product sales continuumEstablishes, maintains, and enhances client relationships to resolve issues and grow profitable business using a consultative sales approach, identifying client goals and objectives and directing customers to the product that provides the highest degree of value based on their insurance needsConveys to prospective customers a thorough and expert working knowledge of all Individual products offered by BCBSNCResponds to specific questions, concerns and objections raised by the prospect related to the purchase process and recommends product alternatives based on the prospect’s expressed needs, taking into account provided health and financial informationIdentifies opportunities to sell additional company products via cross-selling as appropriateProactively manages prospects through the e-channel, including e-mail marketing, chat and end-user technical supportDirects leads to the most cost-effective close channel/personnel/techniques to maximize their total salesCollaborates with Sales management team to address service issues including identifying and designing solutionsCompletes and maintains accurate and up-to-date notes for all conversations with prospects solely through the software systemMay provide inbound sales support to prospective members, explaining key product differences, providing individualized rate quotes, explaining benefits, and underwriting and enrollment requirements across all products

What You Need

High school diploma or GED3+ years of experience in related fieldMust have or be able to obtain a North Carolina Insurance (Medical Supplement and Long-Term Care) license within the first 60 days of employment in this position.

Compensation

This is a sales incentive role with a total compensation package that consists of a base salary and sales incentive target component. All sales roles are eligible for an initial draw/guarantee to assist new hires with their on-boarding with the company.
