Must have a valid PA driver’s license and be able to drive an organization automobile/vanMust have Act 33/34/73 Clearances upon hireMust have a Bachelor’s degree or High School Education or equivalency and one year of direct care experience.Pre-Employment: Physical, Hep B, TB, and Drug Screenings

15-24 hours per week.  This position will have a set schedule but the colleague may be asked to cover open shifts between three LTSR’s,

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Direct Support Professional provides direct service to seriously and persistently mentally ill adults.   Service provision consists of teaching all appropriate living/social skills in order to enhance the individual’s level of independence or helping the person served maintain his/her skill level to possibly move to a less restrictive site.  The service provided is to include support and education related to physical fitness, nutrition and wellness. The Direct Support Professional models and provides mentoring and will assist the supervisor with tasks, duties and paperwork as assigned.  This person will have primary responsibility in the supervisor’s absence as designated by the site supervisor.
