About the role

The Sales Director for France has responsibility for developing the company’s sales strategy, tactics and plans in the region, also for developing all relationships with customers, identifying and reporting on business opportunities in targeted markets while representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events. The successful candidate will thus be focusing on maximizing new business development opportunities while playing a pivotal role in the France leadership team and overseeing the sales and operational marketing teams. The Sales & Operational Marketing Director for France will be a key member of the operational committee.
The role is located in Paris, at LexisNexis’ offices rue de Javel (75015).

Responsibilities

Execute the strategic and tactical operational growth plans for LexisNexis France, with particular emphasis on continued expansion into new products and markets. The company’s sales revenues includes both recurring business and new business; the Sales Director will thus have to manage both sales dimensions

Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories

Implement sales programs by developing field sales action plans

Coordinate the sales operations with all the other departments of the company.

Establish performance goal for each employee in that organization, and monitoring if the employee is able to meet the expectations or not.

Continuously motivate the sales team, and inspiring them to stay focused on company’s goals

Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintaining sales staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Develop managers and implementing effective succession plans.

Establish and maintaining strong relationships with industry peers and major corporate players, necessary for ensuring LexisNexis’s continued growth

Foster an achievement-oriented culture based on continuous learning principles where employees are motivated and rewarded for both individual and team contributions.

Meet the sales target set within the given deadline with restricted territory and accounts.

Build up better, more intimate customer relationships, understanding their needs, and satisfying them without compromising the company’s profits.

Maintain long lasting customer relationships.

Represent the company’s business policies in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to continue to attract more clients.

Seek out new customers and sales opportunities.

Requirements

Inspire and motivate the sales organization to perform to its best potential in continuing to grow revenue and profit.

Expand the Lexis Nexis footprint by winning new clients by up-selling current partnerships to purchase a broader offering.

Drive the company’s management processes, notably its sales management rigorous processes, providing more solutions/services -orientated sales.

Increase the sense of urgency in delivering results across the France business.
