Job Description

Leading utilities contractor seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator/Locator for their local Minnesota team.

ResponsibilitiesOperate Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cableSetup and cleanup of work site, including traffic and pedestrian controlRead utility locates and coordinate day lighting of these facilitiesOperate construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specificationsLevel earth to final grade specificationsPerform proper maintenance by greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs on equipmentConfirm bore path with install foreman and drill operator (including walking the bore path)Ensure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the productQualifications1+ years of heavy equipment operating experienceExperience with hand and power toolsAbility to submit to MVR check and obtain DOT medical cardComfortable operating company vehicleClass A CDL license (Air Brake, Combination certs) preferredAbility to work in year-round weather conditionsWhy Work Here?

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
