As the Director, Accounts Payable at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Metro Manila, you will lead a top-tier team and achieve outstanding financial performance. This role ensures flawless financial transaction processing and operational excellence, through strategic planning, process optimization, and standard methodologies.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for the Accounts Payable function, aligning with business objectives and financial goals.Team Management: Build, recruit, mentor, and encourage the accounts payable team to support the company's vision and mission.Operational Oversight: Lead and direct employees to ensure balanced achievements in employee happiness, financial performance, compliance, and regulatory adherence.Performance Analysis and Improvement: Develop operating plans, analyze data, and collaborate with the team to understand performance metrics and build improvement plansChange and Integration Initiatives: Lead change initiatives and regional integration efforts to optimize structure and support growth.Process and Technology Optimization: Assess business processes, propose efficient technology solutions, and ensure maximum efficiency of business systems.Collaborator Communication and Relationships: Plan and communicate changes clearly, establishing key relationships with partners, support teams, and vendors.Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of continuous improvement through analytics, feedback, benchmarking, and training.Blocking Issues Management: Handle blocking issues and complex situations as they arise.Safety and Quality: Promote and maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.Ad Hoc Projects: Support ad hoc projects to align with business objectives and goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related field, or equivalent experience.Experience in leading complex organizations in a shared services environment with a strong technology and commercial orientation.Proven experience of at least 5 years in Director or above roles.Proficiency in the English language (verbal and written).Proven track record of leading and developing leaders in an Accounts Payable environment.Ability to prioritize and strategize business objectives.Experience leading virtual teams.Proficiency in establishing, building, and developing relationships with business partners.Ability to plan work and operate with a high degree of autonomy.Experience in managing budgets.
