Director, ACRIA Centers new york, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=new+york+NY+USA) • ACRIA Description TheDirector, ACRIA Centersis responsible for overseeing and managing the work of ACRIA at GMHC department. This position works directly with management in helping to create a collaborative vision for the HIV & Aging programs. The Director assures that communication exists with all other relevant programs/services internally to assure utilization of services by clients, and externally to funders to ensure compliance and fulfillment of contract obligations and quality of services. This position is responsible for overseeing HIV Treatment/Care/Support and Prevention Education primarily to People Aging with HIV (PAWH), providing training/education/information and/or technical assistance to consumers and community partners across New York City, as well as implementation of the LTS Hub programming. This position also tracks and monitors budget spending and program deliverables for related programs, participates in program development for the procurement of resources, and generates periodic programmatic reports. Essential Job Functions The following duties are mandatory requirements of the job: + Manage all aspects of the ACRIA at GMHC, programs including staff supervision and support, training, community engagement, curriculum development, and social marketing initiatives. + Manages all aspects of grants management for both private and government grants. + Provide training/education, information and/or technical assistance to agencies and non-medical service providers in New York City for HIV Treatment/Care and Prevention Education to PLWHIV/PAWH + Participate actively in the management team providing vision to the program and agency through collaboration with other relevant departments and endeavors. + Assist with development grant proposals in collaboration with the proposal team working on all aspects including program, evaluation, and budget development + Maintain all necessary and indicated documentation of services analyzing data and producing progress and other reports, as required, for internal use, funders, and others + Form, liaise, and maintain close working relationships with HIV CARE networks and relevant local and national community-based and other organizations. + Lead the department’s dissemination efforts focusing on peers, staff and external stakeholders at suitable conferences, workshops, and events. + Develops policies and procedures for all programs the department to ensure programs are meeting deliverables, providing exceptional service, and innovatively moves the departments forward. Other Responsibilities The following duties are to be performed as assigned by the supervisor: + CQI Projects, Dashboard Management and other special projects as assigned + Training and professional development Requirements Education and Certification + BA/BS required. Master’s in public administration, Social Work, or Public Health or five (5) years of related experience, highly preferred + Experience providing technical and capacity building assistance as well trainings + CHES certification highly desirable Special Skills and Knowledge In addition to the above-listed job responsibilities and educational requirements, the ideal candidate for this position possesses most or all the following: + Five (5) years’ experience providing health related training with strong health communication and curriculum development skills. + Expertise in HIV and Aging and experience with LGBTQ communities. + Strong supervisory and program management skills. + Good understanding of HIV and viral hepatitis treatment issues and the communities impacted by HIV. + Knowledge of health literacy, adult learning theory, and evidence-based prevention along with their impact on communities affected by HIV. + Knowledge of technical assistance processes and models. + Possess excellent verbal, written, and research/evaluation skills. + Bilingual skills preferred. + Proven knowledge and experience of key computer programs including Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet browsers. + Must be a proactive, well-organized and detail-oriented team builder and team player, able to work day-to-day with minimal supervision in a demanding, multi-task environment while remaining responsive to changing priorities. + Interest in developing, implementing, and expanding existing programs. + Ability to interact with diverse communities. Salary Description $80,000 per year
