The DIRECTV Ad Sales team is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Ad Sales to lead a small team of senior sales professionals. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue generation from a portfolio of agency accounts within the Dentsu holding company. The Director is responsible for leading a team of senior sales executives, providing direction to these sellers to achieve defined annual revenue quotas across multiple products. The Director owns responsibility for achieving revenue targets for entire holding company(s). A successful candidate must be an effective leader, strategist, and communicator with a longstanding history of fostering a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture. Deep understanding of the media ecosystem including linear, addressable, streaming/digital inventory pools from either managed service and/or programmatic perspective is required. The Director will need to understand how to evaluate data partnerships and platform needs and communicate to internal cross functional teams on risks and rewards. This person is a strong negotiator and creative problem solver who can consult agency leaders on how to take advantage of DIRECTV capabilities to deliver business outcomes that matter. The ability to succeed in changing and complex environments is key.
**Here’s what you’ll do:**
+ Lead and mentor a small team of senior sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
+ Oversee the achievement of revenue quotas for a portfolio of agency accounts within Dentsu.
+ Develop and implement forward-thinking sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share.
+ Manage relationships with key agency partners, serving as the primary point of contact for high-level discussions and negotiations.
+ Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new opportunities for revenue growth.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, operations) to develop tailored advertising solutions for clients.
+ Present complex advertising solutions and proposals to C-level executives and senior decision-makers.
+ Monitor team performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
+ Forecast sales revenue and report on key performance indicators to senior leadership.
+ Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising sales.
+ Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate new business leads.
+ Collaborate with other sales directors to share best practices and align on company-wide sales initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
+ Contribute to the development of sales collateral, pitch decks, and other materials to support the sales process.
+ Manage the sales pipeline and CRM system to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
**What you’ll need to be successful:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with 5 – 7 years of professional advertising sales and /or digital sales experience with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience with client direct sales.
+ Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue quotas.
+ Extensive knowledge of the advertising industry, including digital, print, and broadcast media.
+ Strong understanding of media buying processes, agency structures, and holding company dynamics.
+ Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing sales team.
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex advertising solutions to senior executives.
+ Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
+ Experience in managing key accounts and developing long-term client relationships.
+ Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative sales approaches.
+ Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close high-value deals.
+ Experience in managing sales operations across multiple geographic territories is a plus.
+ Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
+ Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, constantly evolving advertising landscape.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position and work location(s) listed in the job posting US Labor Market Zone(s). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

N4: $187,450 - $281,060
Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
