What this opportunity involves:

We’re looking for a confident and creative professional with excellent strategic-thinking, clear and concise writing, and diligent project management. Our pursuits team make the complex simple, using excellent written and verbal communications along an eye for design. We work in a collaborative, high-visibility environment with the opportunity to interface with senior management, functional departments, and customers to drive pursuit strategy and articulate our core value for clients.  

Working closely with our sales leads, the Director, APAC Sales Effectiveness and Proposals will manage the pursuit process from strategy and content development through proposal submissions, presentations, and any other deliverables related to the opportunity. You will direct large teams in complex efforts, creating and reinforcing project plans to ensure we are bringing our best to every pursuit and are fully compliant in every respect, resulting in memorable and compelling proposals that drive new business.

Responsibilities

Develop a strong understanding of each service line, platform, and value proposition. 

Support development of executive summaries and key themes for major pursuits. 

Interpret and analyze RFP to write proposals that support client solutions.

Help develop and communicate win themes, strategies and design approaches.

Oversee the entire proposal process, making sure that every member of the proposal team, including sales, subject matter experts, pricing, design, marketing, knows what is expected and when tasks are due.

Write, edit, and develop appropriate graphics to support messaging and theme.

Support the preparation of all deliverables related to the opportunity (e.g., Yellow Pads, BAFO, etc.).

Identify and execute process improvements and best practices related to business development and proposal management.

Champion efforts to ensure creative deliverables that promote the firm’s brand.

Partner with sellers on pursuits and help qualify, shape and accelerate opportunities, thereby shortening sales cycles and improving win rates.  Assemble the team that will successfully rally around the pursuit and ultimately win the deal. 

Enable teams to sell more effectively through delivering the right mix of tools, training, processes and support.  

Oversee, train and mentor JBS proposal resources in support of APAC pursuits.

Qualifications

At least six years of related business development marketing communications experience, with at least four of those working directly in B2B proposal management 

Commercial real estate industry experience preferred

Creative design skills preferred.

Demonstrated ability to assimilate, coordinate, and respond to RFIs, RFPs

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills, and the ability to interface with senior leadership

Ability to translate broad concepts and ideas into clear and logical communications

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe Suite strongly preferred

High degree of energy, assertiveness and creativity

Flexible and a proactive individual able to work under their own initiative with diverse teams

Ability to produce multiple deliverables quickly, while maintaining quality and accuracy
