Position Description:
Provides cloud-based solution architectures and strategies that enables and accelerates delivery squads. Deploys applications to AWS Cloud Architecture using AWS Managed with Kubernetes, Serverless, and Batch cloud-based workloads and patterns. Designs, and architects software platforms using relational & NoSQL databases, messaging, and streaming platforms. Provides cloud-based training curriculums, common architectural patterns and recipes, DevSecOps automation pipelines, Kubernetes standards and guidelines, and FinOps cost optimization strategies and solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Architects applications for resiliency and cost optimization.Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems.Confers with analysts and engineers to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.Develops and oversees software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.Designs, develops and modifies complex and major software systems.Uses scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) providing cloud architecture, strategy, automation, and engineering solutions across financial domains, within a continuous integration, deployment, and delivery environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) providing cloud architecture, strategy, automation, and engineering solutions across financial domains, within a continuous integration, deployment, and delivery environment.

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) architecting and engineering enterprise level, multi-Cloud-based platforms built on Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to enable enterprise teams to deploy and manage dynamic Cloud native microservice applications across Cloud service providers (AWS and Azure).DE architecting and developing performant, highly available, and scalable applications, using REST Web services, languages (Java or Python), relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle and DynamoDB), and AWS Cloud native technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateways, and ALBs).DE authoring CI/CD (Jenkins Core) pipelines integrated with Infrastructure As Code languages including Hashicorp Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation Templates, and Azure Resource Manager.DE collaborating and influencing across centralized (Enterprise) business units and presenting strategies and visions to C-level executives.#PE1M2
