Director, Bid Management/Sales Support

Job Description

The Director of Enterprise Bid Management oversees the global bid management process at Worldpay. This individual is responsible for the RFP process from pre-RFP to post-submission activities and serves as the internal subject matter expert on the proposal process. The ideal candidate can see the big picture and commercial implications without overlooking details. They should be able to build a team culture rooted in responsiveness, creativity, collaboration, and high-quality outputs to deliver best-in-class commercial results. We are building an agile team that can quickly adjust to proposal development schedules and requirements to prioritize critical commercial wins.

General Duties & Responsibilities

Apply experience and best practices in proposal team management to ensure timely delivery of compliant proposal submissions.Collaborate with sales, sales leadership, solutioning, and implementation teams to gather necessary content for compelling bids.Establish a review and sign-off process for continuous feedback and improvement.Review reporting and create a pipeline plan based on potential RFPs.Analyze lost RFPs from the past 3-5 years and connect with SDR teams to track progress with current providers.Develop and deliver training materials for Business Development, Relationship Managers, and additional staff to improve corporate proposal operations.Establish a process to understand lost RFP feedback and ensure communication between relevant teams to address internal issues.Utilize tools to respond to RFPs in multiple languages.Write proposal sections using standard English writing styles, synthesizing information from multiple sources into a cohesive, persuasive final product.When commercially responsible get in the weeds with the team and help them get things over the line if capacity constrained.

Strong management, organizational, team building, coaching, and mentoring skills.Excellent leadership, communication, prioritization skillsAbility to coach the editing process for their team.Experience interviewing subject matter experts to support the proposal writing process.Strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management, and planning skills.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in a clear, concise, and professional manner, including presentations.Ability to create and implement workload management principles.Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management across technical and business functions.Ability to identify, address, and resolve employee-related issues.Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt to various people and working styles under tight deadlines.

Desired Skills

Proven track record of managing and winning proposals in a global enterprise environment.Monitor staff performance, implement goals, document progress, and address employee-related issues with Human Resources.Direct resources in a cost-effective, innovative manner, assisting sales teams in effective use of resources and tools.Establish operational objectives and work plans.Provide support to sales teams for successful RFP processes.Monitor results to ensure we are improving win rates and the number of submissions executed.Implement and execute sales support policies and practices.Prepare quarterly reports of wins, losses, capacity, and improvements.Encourage staff to participate in educational opportunities to improve skills and customer service abilities.Other related duties as assigned.



Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $160,480.00 - $269,610.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
