**Director, Business Development**
As a Sr. Manager / Director of Business Development for our BD organization, you are empowered to evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. You will also oversee market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs. You are also responsible for the planning, design, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives to expand our PacStar line of products and our presence throughout the Department of Defense enterprise.
**Location:** **Remote (ideally DC/VA/MD area) with expectation of approximately 50% travel customer sites within the US.**

**Your Challenge:**
+ Primary duties include identification, qualification, and capture activities associated with developing new business in new markets for CW-PacStar
+ Prior experience with DOD tactical networking programs is preferred, i.e. Army PM TN, USMC CDN / NOTM, SOCOM SDN, JADC2
+ Gain access to senior program leads, senior officers, and influencers on DoD programs.
+ Familiarity with and ability to establish relationships with the business (tactical networking - C5ISR) community
+ Have a working network of contacts throughout the DoD (requirements development, acquisitions, as well as operations) as well as prime contractors.
+ Be comfortable in discussing applications with operators, senior program team members, senior officers and corporate executives alike.
+ Working knowledge of Federal contracting and acquisitions processes
+ Must have experience with selling network communication systems, SATCOM, or network security products
+ Working knowledge of voice, network, data, security products and solutions
+ Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
+ Strong organizational and negotiation skills
+ Ability to work well with the team
+ Sound decision making and problem-solving capabilities
+ Ability to present professional image of self and Company
+ Ability to handle customer inquiries and escalations professionally
+ Represent CWDS at conferences, industry events and working groups; for the purposes of identifying new opportunities for the CWDS division.
**What you bring:**
+ US person required
+ Ability to obtain minimum SECRET security clearance required
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, engineering or technical discipline preferred, commensurate military or Federal Sales / BD experience considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree
+ 10-12 years of experience that includes Business Development or Sales leadership, marketing research, and technical sales
+ Position requires up to 50% travel (domestic and international)
+ Ability to set up demonstrations, present, and occasionally lift 50-70 lbs
