Trautman & Shreve, Inc. is seeking a talented Director, Business Development who will identify and grow new and existing business on a continuous cycle. This position will work in a team environment and drive revenue growth for the business. This role will build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to drive prospective business activities for their assigned or prospective clients.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct market research to identify potential clients and contacts. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities. Manage the entire sales process to include scheduling direct sales appointments, marketing, conducting initial meetings, writing proposals and value propositions, responding to RFIs and RFQs, and follow-up on leads until converted to closed new contracts/customers Communicate in an organized, clear and concise manner to effectively express ideas, plans, actions, and projects to support customer needs. Attends trades shows, conferences and meetings to promote services to potential clients. Works collaboratively with internal departments such as Account Management, Solutions & Pricing, Operations and other areas to complete RFP. Promotes a positive safety culture by fully complying with all safety policies and procedures, and applicable federal, states and local regulations. Any other duties as requested by management or executive branch.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BS/BA degree in business, marketing, related field or the equivalent in education and work experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales including strategic selling experience. Experience in construction or similar industry preferred Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and other Microsoft Office software applications. The ability and willingness to learn other software applications as required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills with strong business-related knowledge. Strong negotiations skills for pricing, scope of work and other client specifications. Ability to thrive in competitive market. Ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue.

Compensation Range:   Minimum $125,000 to maximum $165,000

Other Compensation:  position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
