Lead our strategic initiative focused on empowering all employees to work confidently with data. This role will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our BI platform using Power BI, ensuring alignment with critical business objectives and delivering customer-focused solutions. You will represent the business in design efforts, working closely with IT teams, including Power BI developers, ETL developers, data architects, and data engineers, to meet the program’s goals in an integrated and scalable manner.
Responsibilities:
BI Platform Leadership: Lead the design and enhancement of our business intelligence platform using Power BI, representing business needs and ensuring the platform democratizes data across the organization.Data Strategy: Define and communicate the data strategy and roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders. Develop a business case that aligns with corporate priorities and customer needs.Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze and interpret data to find patterns, trends, and insights that guide business decisions and strategies. Transform raw data into actionable insights.Report and Dashboard Creation: Collaborate with IT teams to create reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and effective communication of findings.Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with first line of defense business owners, second line of defense compliance and risk leads, and IT teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance data capabilities and reporting efficiency.Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and GSE requirements for mortgage servicing. Maintain documentation and governance structures for reporting and data management.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of BI professionals, including business analysts, data governance specialists, and data analysts. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Oversee hiring, training, and performance management.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate strong interaction and collaboration between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication, alignment of goals, and effective execution of projects.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Ensure all activities are in accordance with Cenlar’s approved risk appetite statement and applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, Information Systems, or related field.10+ years of experience in mortgage servicing report design, documentation, and production.Proven track record of successfully leading teams of developers, analysts, and programmers.Proven track record of successfully delivering BI and/or data warehousing projects.Advanced proficiency with Power BI, SQL, and related RDBMS query tools.Strong understanding of BI/Reporting best practices and methodologies.Experience working in an Agile environment.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to develop and maintain program governance structures and maintain alignment across multiple teams.In-depth understanding of regulatory and GSE requirements for mortgage servicing.Strong skills in interfacing with both business units and IT, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.Extensive experience working with major departments of mortgage servicing, including Loan Administration, Customer Service, Payment Processing, Escrow Management, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Investor Reporting, Compliance, and Quality Control.Preferred:
Experience in control automation, data democratization, or financial services industry.Proven ability to lead teams through complex, data-driven initiatives.Experience in building a product roadmap with measurable success criteria.
