As a **Director, Sourcing Strategy** , you'll work directly with Sourcing leaders to ensure critical business metrics are met while influencing future growth strategies to help our customers Save Money and Live Better. In this role, you'll:
+ **Strengthen your Strategy muscle:** Deliver projects and initiatives akin to Strategy Consulting, working with ex-MBB consultant team members, delivering impact across the organization via initiatives
+ **Deliver transformational impact** : Deliver strategic initiatives & projects by that leads to clear, measurable change as part of Sourcing's transformation and growth
+ **Work directly with Officers and Leadership:** Interact on a regular basis and **build relationships with senior leaders** to gain trust & deliver value to them as well as to the wider Sourcing organization
+ **Advance your Action bias** : Work in a fast-paced environment with a bias for action to respond to leadership requests as also **proactively identify gaps to bridge**
+ **Achieve Vertical & Horizontal Growth:** Be part of a team that acts as a **repository of talent for Sourcing** and other entities **,** with alumni that have **grown vertically** as they transition into other teams

**What you'll do:**
+ **Develops the organizational vision and the strategic execution plan** by performing industry and market analysis; defining metrics to track performance; communicating the organizational vision and strategic execution plan; developing decision making frameworks ; and communicating progress and measures of success to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
+ Provides **overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs** ; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, frameworks, plans, and practices; analyzing financial impact and incorporating into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
+ **Leads cross-functional initiatives to** **develop, prioritize, and pilot key business strategies and changes in operational models** in collaboration with various teams & business units
+ **Oversees** **change initiatives by identifying and defining desired change and processes** overseeing project plans to implement processes; assessing readiness for change; managing expectations; adjusting approaches to have change adopted by the entire organization;
+ **Oversees the development and implementation of process improvements** to improve business results by overseeing the evaluation and execution of multiple projects for merchandising ; directing the consultation with leadership regarding solutions; reviewing merchandising reports;
+ **Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics** by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
+ **Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks** to maximize the achievement of business goals; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives

+ **Strategy & Strategic Planning:** Developing Long term visioning, translating vision into action plans; Phasing & prioritization of initiatives, ability to shape 5 year long range plans keeping in mind company, BU vision
+ **Adaptability:** Quickly learn a business / solution / offering to collaborate with line teams and leaders; adjust to changes and find solutions as situations evolve
+ **Analytic Reasoning:** Extract & analyze market data, internal company data, generating insights from large datasets; Proficiency with Spreadsheets
+ **Cross-functional coordination:** Visualize & understand cross-functionally of initiatives and projects across multiple BUs; Collaboratively extend initiatives through multiple BUs and teams
+ **Influencing for impact:** Set and manage expectations with Officers (VPs, SVPs) and other senior leaders; convince leadership and teams of the benefits of initiatives and build their support to execute and roll out change initiatives; actively influence decision making
+ **Thought partnership** : Think through with business leads about future state vision, key priorities; Be a change agent by challenging status quo and making future initiatives truly transformational
+ **Visualization:** Define or conceptualize compelling, easy to use dashboards / visualizations with PowerBI or Tableau needed for leaders & team to make decisions
+ **Persuasive communications** : Written communications (PowerPoint decks, memos, emails; incl. Exec Summaries) factoring in Smart Brevity; and Verbal (Presentations to senior leadership) communication expertise
**You'll make an impact if you have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 6 years' experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, analytics, retail merchandising, operations management or related area OR 8 years' experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, analytics, retail merchandising, operations management, or related area
+ 2 years' team leadership experience
+ Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field. 5 years' experience leading cross-functional teams

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
