In this Category Management Director role, you will show your leadership by setting the growth agenda and leading a team to deliver actionable business analysis, strategy development for Walmart and Mondelēz through best-in-class use of shopper insights and category management principles.  In partnership with the Customer and Sales Teams, you will play a pivotal role in identifying multi-year shopper-based growth opportunities to realize superior growth and build customer value. This position has the responsibility to drive business results in direct partnership with the Walmart and our Sales partners.  

How you will contribute

You will:

Shape and drive category and shopper strategy 

Produce deep analysis that expands our understanding of the Walmart’s business and our categories.  

Provide Omni Channel support: audit digital shelf and co-create omni strategies for Customer 

Deliver excellence in execution: create picture of success for displays, assortment, and shelf (POGs) 

Provide shelving strategy (beyond most-common planogram) and drive share of shelf: adjacencies, days of supply, pack-out (JDA experience required)

Customer specific assortment recommendations (must carry list, sku rationalizations, flow back analysis, etc), POS trends (versed on Nielsen and/or IRI), and loyalty card data (Luminate data is a plus) to shape and drive pricing (e.g. elasticities, cliff/ thresholds, etc) and promo analysis and strategies  

Persue captaincies and drive the end-to-end (strategic and tactical) conversations with the Customer 

Provide share forecast  

Own reporting for the Customer and Sales Team 

Create thought leadership that inspires shopper-focused growth and enables Mondelēz to be Walmart's preferred partner of choice in snacking.

Strong quantitative & analytical skills (able to create data-based selling stories and develop share forecast) 

Persuasive: Ability to craft a compelling story and gain internal and external alignment 

Proficient with syndicated data, Excel, Power BI, Data Visualization

Equipped to coach and develop category managers  

Solid understanding of the Retail marketplace​

Leadership Skills  

Demonstrate a growth mindset with creative and proactive approaches to work 

Strong agility  

Effective collaborator who can create strong relationships with cross functional partners and retailers

Bachelor’s degree required 

Minimum of 10 years experience in consumer products industry

Minimum of 3 years people management experience

The base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $246,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
