The Center for Justice and Liberation advocates and serves as a comprehensive collaborative multicultural community space that honors and centers the holistic development and retention of underrepresented, marginalized, and stigmatized students due to oppressive structures. The center’s work is focused in the areas of social justice, liberation, academic enrichment, advocacy and resources.
The office oversees all identity-based student groups, clubs and organizations, providing guidance and administration of policies and protocol. The director provides leadership regarding the use of university funds and resources to produce efficient efforts at building and producing an engaged student body. The ideal candidate will be a committed professional with knowledge about race, racial identity, students across and outside the gender and sexual orientation spectrum, intersectionality, and possess a commitment to the holistic development of diverse student populations.

This is a hybrid position with on-campus, in-person responsibilities in Salem, MA, which may require occasional work on evenings and weekends.
Office activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and interaction with computer equipment; occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 5-10 pounds.
