CoCounsel Drafting is hiring a Director of Transactional Drafting. After a successful product launch this summer, we seek a seasoned product leader to help us double down. CoCounsel Drafting is an end-to-end drafting solution that streamlines and improves the drafting process for legal professionals within Microsoft Word. It’s the latest set of capabilities available for CoCounsel, the first professional-grade GenAI assistant from Thomson Reuters.
About the Role:
The Director, Product Management will lead a team of Senior Product Managers and Product Managers across the CoCounsel Transactional Drafting Product team. The product team is a high-performing, global team with an ambitious roadmap ahead of us. We are looking for a strong people manager with product execution experience to lead the way. A successful candidate will have experience weighing and communicating tradeoffs across a complex product, and know how to ask probing questions, listen to customers, and help teams get to the right solution quickly. They work backward from customers, are connected to the details, and help the team break down strategies into executable phases and distinct features. They are transparent with their prioritization framework, welcome and incorporate feedback, and measure and effectively communicate the results of product investments to leaders.
As a Director, Product Management you will:
Build, manage and lead a world class team of product managers. You will lead and inspire a team of product managers to define and deliver significant strategic initiatives while coordinating their activities to ensure that they meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities and offering potential solutions.
Build world-class capabilities and products by creating a vision for the product and maintaining the product roadmap while partnering closely with dev team, UX, and Labs to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently. This includes serving as the customer voice for the engineering teams, prioritizing the product backlog based on customer and business value, using metrics to monitor and measure progress monitoring the market landscape and staying updated on industry trends to ensure the product remains competitive while addressing evolving customer needs
Demonstrate leadership by taking ownership of a product, its performance and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience. You will show that you can learn from your experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively evangelize the product vision to colleagues. You will socialize with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders to align strategy, vision, and roadmaps
Support CoCounsel Director of International and Commercial Strategy to successfully plan product launches by collaborating with product marketing, the development team, and the sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and pricing

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $149,700 - $277,900. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the base compensation range for this role is $157,500 - $292,500. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
