Director, Commercial Campaigns

The Opportunity:

Job Description Summary

This is a revenue generating position working under the leadership of North America Commercial to implement the Commercial growth strategy through digital communications and sales field campaigns.  Through partnership and alignment with the field sales team and leadership, and Avantor’s portfolio of solutions and suppliers, this individual will collaborate cross-functionally to identify, build, and execute sales and marketing programs and digital campaigns to achieve sales and profit growth commitments, drive workflow and NPI sales, and improve the customer experience.  

Job Description (Major Duties and Responsibilities)

Identify and recommend growth areas and markets for implementation of commercial campaigns.

Implement the strategic growth plan for the NA Commercial Customer Experience.

Evaluate sales campaigns using analytics to include supplier, customer, and market for feasibility and effectiveness for revenue growth

Collaborate cross-functionally to build, implement, and measure success of sales and marketing campaigns, and to drive programs focused on customer loyalty and success

Develop programs to reach new and existing customers while building sound supplier relations.

Build and manage KPI’s and dashboards to measure campaign success and achievement to sales and margin targets.

Utilize Avantor’s Business Systems (ABS) for the continuous improvement of tactics, strategy, and process to increase productivity and effectiveness.

Embrace technology and effectively guide team in use of digital tools (C4C, Outreach, CDP, Marketo).

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

5-10 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Sales, preferably in the Life Sciences industry with proven success in meeting sales goals

3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing, strategy, or sales campaign management preferred

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent/applicable experience; graduate degree a plus

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Self-starter able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet sales targets and financial commitments.

Strong data and analytics skills and ability to identify trends and make business recommendations.

Expertise in developing executive level presentations.

Proven record and success in sales and/or marketing.

Excellent communication skills across multiple organizational levels

Highly motivated team player who can forge and foster internal and external relationships.

Ability to motivate and collaborate cross-functional team members and drive accountability to achieve results.
