Director of Compensation | Global Strategy & Leadership | AutoZone Join AutoZone as our Director of Compensation and lead the development, implementation, and management of our global compensation programs. What You’ll Do: As the Director of Compensation, you will: Develop and implement a global compensation strategy that supports our business objectives. Ensure our compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with market trends. Oversee global salary structures, job evaluations, and market benchmarking processes. Partner with HR and business leaders to align programs with organizational objectives and ensure consistent application of pay practices globally (United States, Mexico, China, Brazil, and India). Design, optimize, and manage incentive programs (bonuses, commissions, spiffs) in partnership with business leaders. Manage long-term incentive plans and executive compensation. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global regulations. Support compliance efforts with legal and finance teams. Manage US relocation and mobility programs. Partner with vendors and stakeholders for seamless relocation experiences. Use data to assess and improve compensation programs and provide insights on compensation trends and outcomes. Communicate programs effectively to ensure transparency. Lead large-scale change management initiatives with a passion for continuous improvement and collaboration. Support leaders in building a strong leadership pipeline and addressing immediate challenges and long-term issues. Qualifications: 12+ years of progressive experience in compensation with 8+ years in global and executive compensation. Extensive experience managing compensation within a Fortune 500 company, showcasing the ability to navigate complex organizational structures, adhere to high standards of compliance, and drive strategic initiatives in a large-scale, dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex compensation data and strategies to executives and board members, ensuring clarity, engagement, and informed decision-making. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Ability to manage high-volume workloads and complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.
