Primary Purpose The Director of Compensation will lead the design, implementation, and management of broad-based compensation programs, including the annual incentive plan and rewards and recognition initiatives. This role serves as a strategic compensation partner to our Operating Companies and corporate functions, working closely with executive compensation to ensure alignment with the company's business objectives. The Director will play a key role in attracting, retaining, and motivating Exelon's talent. Primary Duties Lead the design, implementation, and management of broad-based compensation programs Lead enterprise-wide compensation planning processes ensuring thoughtful, effective, and efficient practices and procedures Stay informed about industry trends and competitive compensation practices. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure compensation programs remain competitive and aligned with industry standards Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation (e.g., pay transparency, FLSA) Initiate various analyses, projects, and the design of new or special compensation programs to address market and business needs Enhance communication, training, and processes related to total rewards programs to expand compensation knowledge and capabilities Direct the administration of the Annual Incentive Plan Design and implement the company incentive plan to ensure competitiveness and alignment to Exelon's compensation and pay for performance philosophy. Work closely with senior leadership, legal, finance, and HR teams to ensure that compensation programs support business objectives, reflect company priorities and are compliant. Partner with finance and accounting teams to manage the accounting and reporting of compensation programs. Prepare materials, presentations, and analysis for Senior Leaders and the Compensation Committee. Strategic & Thought Leadership Serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader to HR Business Partners and business leaders on total rewards strategies, best practices, and regulatory compliance. Provide data-driven, innovative solutions to address complex business challenges Lead and develop Compensation team members to ensure a deep understanding of business needs related to Exelon's compensation strategy. Ensure the team effectively designs, delivers, and manages compensation programs Drive strategic compensation projects and initiatives by fostering strong relationships and collaborating across cross-functional teams Job Scope Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, or related discipline. In lieu of degree 15-20 years of relevant experience. Minimum 12 years in a compensation role with progressive experience in designing and/or developing compensation plans and programs within a multi-billion dollar organization as well as experience in people-management and formulating/implementing business/action plans 5 years of management experience High level of discretion and confidentiality Strong leadership and people management skills Strong communicator and adept at conveying technical compensation concepts in accessible ways that resonate across functions and levels Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to U.S. compensation standards and principles.
