Job Description:

In Workplace Consulting, the primary responsibility of the Director – Compliance is providing day-to-day management of a team of associates that prepare Form 5500 and related filings for the Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Health & Welfare plans of Fidelity clients. The Director, Compliance will also have responsibility for overseeing the Domestic Relations Order qualifications (QDRO) and divorce decree work performed by this team.

The Value You DeliverServe as primary point of contact for internal customers regarding our clients’ form 5500 filings. Prepare and participate in regular client service reviews and/or business planning meetings.Monitor team goal and performance measurements.Lead associates on your team in the capacity of workload, quality, and timeliness. Provide timely feedback on performance to help associates own their daily tasks/deliverables, progress on their development, and address any outstanding performance issues.Be responsible for team financials and client billing work.Develop effective performance measures and work with associates on goals and initiatives that will improve both the organization and the associate’s career development. Prepare annual performance and compensation reviews for associates.Act as a subject matter expert for questions regarding 5500 services to our internal business partners and colleagues.  Keep current with ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations regarding 5500 reporting.Lead by example by demonstrating a strong work ethic, professional conduct, and a continuous improvement mindset.Work closely with senior management to meet business objectives and priorities. Serve as a leader and run projects and/or initiatives for your business unit.Work with Fidelity colleagues, clients, and third parties to onboard new clients.Identify and communicate successful and efficient practices used for your own client(s) that may be brought to bear across other clients and instituted as the standard methodology.Draft contracts for special projects and be accountable for client financials.

The Team

This role will reside within Workplace Consulting’s Center of Excellence (COE) organization. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of government form 5500 filing work, business reporting, contractual obligations, and internal scale & efficiency initiatives. You also will be responsible for ensuring new clients are successfully implemented, onboarded, and ready for ongoing filing work at their respective go-live dates. You will support the COE’s interests in collaborating with the cross product/functional subject matter experts, and other lines of business. You will work to solve problems and be empowered to make decisions based on trends, issues, and business drivers.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
