Overview

We’re looking for a strategically minded DIRECTOR OF COPY with brand creative experience to lead our Global Creative Marketing team at HEYDUDE. Must be a creative problem solver at heart, storyteller and be able to lead multiple projects, presentations and meeting deadlines with time spare. Our DIRECTOR OF COPY will lead global projects and teams, collaborate and report into the VP Global Creative Marketing. 

 

The DIRECTOR OF COPY will guide and encourage the team to produce best-in-class marketing materials across Global marketing digital first social channels, digital advertising as well as collateral materials.

 

While highly creative, the DIRECTOR OF COPY will ensure a consistent global HEYDUDE brand voice across all marketing channels, as well as help interpret the global brand voice for regional-specific cultural nuances. The DIRECTOR OF COPY must be a proactive and energetic contributor of ideas that help define and implement the creative strategy, achieve marketing goals, and drive brand growth. Hardworking collaboration with Global is critical to the DIRECTOR OF COPY’s success.

What You'll Do Collaborate with social media team to write and implement day-to-day copy for post captions and assets from monthly calendar. Maintain consistency of the HEYDUDE brand voice through social media. Collaborate with social media, marketing, and creative teams on crafting activation concepts, supporting marketing efforts and key yearly spikes. Provide proofreading and copy-editing support. Write and proofread descriptions for new HEYDUDE products on a seasonal cadence. Write various marketing materials and day-to-day executions for the HEYDUDE brand. Assist with ecommerce projects as needed, including direct-to-consumer emails, subject lines, pre-header text and calls-to-action. Support marketing, creative and digital teams on additional duties, such as brainstorming, headline creation, legal searches. What You'll Bring to the Table 10+ years of experience in social and direct-to-consumer marketing writing; fashion or footwear experience preferred. Excellent Presentation Skills. Understanding of Strategy, Brand, Design and Storytelling. Excellent attention to detail; strong command of English language, grammar, and advertising writing styles, as well as a strong understanding of social media trends and colloquialisms. Excellent Adobe CC skills and experience. Excellent communication skills. Experience in proofreading, copyediting a variety of business and marketing materials. Ability to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. Excellent organizational skills. Standout colleague with shown ability to work efficiently with multiple cross-functional groups. Outstanding written, oral communications and presentation skills. Portfolio must demonstrate best-of-breed creativity and professionalism. A willing communicator and collaborator. Ability to maintain a professional and hardworking atmosphere within the Marketing team. Open to being flexible and able to accept and provide vital critique and feedback.

Title: Director, Copywriting 

Salary or Pay Range: $173,000 - $183,000  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
