American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. The Corporate Card Product Management team owns and operates the Amex Card products used by medium, large, and global businesses.
The Director of Corporate Card Product Management will report directly to the Vice President team leader, and lead product strategy and execution for the Corporate Card portfolio (Green, Gold, and Platinum Cards). Grounded in the needs of the varied design personas that use these products – which include business owners, procurement personnel, administrators, and individual employees – the Director will set the value prop and forward-looking vision for the Cards and direct all workstreams related to P&L analysis, benefit design, new feature launches, and measurement.
The Director of Corporate Card Product Management will:
+ Lead a high-performing team of colleagues
+ Use data and competitive intelligence to keep a pulse on Amex’s share of the Corporate Card payments market and identify opportunities for future growth
+ Build in-depth understanding of Corporate Card users across all personas through research, customer servicing feedback, and sales insights and ride-alongs
+ Structure the vision, strategy, and priorities for Corporate Cards, working in close partnership with leaders in Benefits, Pricing, Operations, etc. – these may include new partner benefits, points earn and redemption, experiential benefits such as Lounge access, and more
+ Use visual storytelling such as presentations and user experience demos to create common understanding and inspire the organization
+ Submit and rank Corporate Card technology investments, and collaborate with Finance and Analytics on cost-benefit analyses
+ Guide project management to introduce new features and benefits, and execute go-to-market
+ Steer customer servicing strategy and issue resolution
+ Travel occasionally
**Qualifications:**
+ Proven people leader with ability to crystallize goals for direct reports, and inspire teamwork
+ Customer-first mentality with previous experience in commercial Card payments and/or a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape
+ Evidence-driven strategist who can translate product performance, competitive intelligence, and market insights into hypotheses about how the Card product should be updated or steered
+ Flexible, creative problem-solver who puts structure around complex issues
+ Communication excellence, both visual/written and verbal; executive presence and comfort in front of audiences of all levels of seniority
+ Facility for stakeholder management; ability to communicate vision to varied group of stakeholders, building collaboration and partnership
+ Analytical rigor and ability to stress-test team hypotheses’ and uncover root causes
+ Financial acumen, including defining business cases, designing tests to validate hypotheses, and measuring results
+ Proactive and positive attitude, dedication to building team culture of learning, growth, and development
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
