Job DescriptionOverview
As the Director, Corporate Security, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our headquarters, which houses approximately 1,200 employees. You will oversee all security operations, manage vendor relationships, and analyze security trends to continuously enhance the organization’s protective measures. Additionally, you will provide executive leadership with critical security counsel, advising on potential internal and external threats to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
What you will be doing
Lead and support daily security operations at headquarters, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees.Collaborate with external security partners to uphold compliance with safety protocols and best practices.Conduct security audits and risk assessments, providing thoughtful insights and recommendations to leadership.Respond with care and efficiency to security incidents and emergencies, working closely with law enforcement and emergency teams as needed.Investigate security concerns, develop proactive solutions, and conduct post-incident reviews to enhance future preparedness.Monitor and assess security trends to proactively identify and address potential risks.Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic security insights that align with business priorities.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that promote a secure and resilient workplace.Facilitate engaging security awareness training for employees, fostering a culture of preparedness and confidence.Ensure vendor personnel receive the training and certification needed to uphold safety standards.Cultivate a collaborative and security-conscious culture across all teams.Guide the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of security systems, including surveillance and access controls.Ensure security technology is effectively leveraged to protect company assets and support business continuity.Serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership, offering guidance on security best practices and continuous improvement opportunities.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.10+ years of experience in corporate security or a related role with expertise in security protocols, procedures, and best practices.Established relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response organizations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140,000 USD - $220,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
