Job Description

Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Director of Crew Communications plays a key role in our multi-functional internal communications department with a specific focus on written communications. This role is responsible for implementing strategic communication programs and content to build and strengthen the company’s voice to our entire internal community, with specific focus to our restaurants but also including our Restaurant Support Offices (RSOs) and Franchise Partners. This position collaborates with a multitude of cross-functional departments and all levels of leadership representing communications on all new and existing projects within the restaurant and support office scope. This position will serve as a primary ambassador for the internal brand, managing a small team and developing tools and programs that ensure all communications shared are consistent with the brand identity of the organization, effective for our Crew, and fully aligned with Raising Cane’s mission, values, and goals. This role supports the Senior Director and ensures content adheres to Raising Cane’s high standards.

 

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

Partners with the Senior Director of Crew Communications to develop and lead the execution of the department’s support of Cane’s mission, values, goals and brand identityExhibits excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skillsDemonstrates superior management skills and the ability to influence and engage leadership, direct reports and peersBuilds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments within the organization-based on open and two-way communications-to stay informed of new initiatives and provide communications support for change management, culture-building and continuous improvementFacilitates consistent exchange of information and alignment of efforts with operational and program communication teams to optimize planning and outreachProvides internal communications expertise, advising a broad range of internal constituents on the most effective and efficient methods of achieving their communications goalsLeads a productive partnership with our Restaurant Excellence department and field-based teams to coordinate and drive the effectiveness of internal communicationsOversees the execution of all internal communication materials and programsTracks and measures all levels of engagementOversees the day-to-day activities of the communications function, including budgeting, planning and crew developmentPromotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to qualityMentors and develops crew using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basisQualifications

Requirements for Success:

10 years of communications experience required, with an emphasis on field or internal communicationsExperience in quick service, food or beverage brandHighly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategiesA strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrentlyRelationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence"High energy, maturity and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levelsSelf-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial in a fast-paced environmentEnergetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiativesDetail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingMust maintain confidential informationAble to work out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX, full timeCapability to travel 10% of the time, requiring overnight stays and occasional weekend travel, based on calendar of eventsBachelor’s degree required - emphasis on Communications, Journalism and/or Public Relations, Master’s degree preferredAdditional Information
