Job DescriptionTeam Summary
The Enterprise FX and Cross Border Solutions team is charged with leading the design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class flexible enterprise-wide FX, settlement, virtual accounts, and currency management solutions as we seek to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world. Additionally, this team drives Visa’s consumer cross border strategy for FX, multicurrency solutions, A2A, and wallets, as well as driving coordination and consistency with Visa’s Money Movement cross-border strategy. Finally, the team manages the strategy and operations of Visa’s FX Marketplace and is responsible for FX trading, operations, and commercialization of FX solutions across the enterprise.
The Role
The Director, Cross-Border A2A and Wallet Strategy Lead is a highly experienced professional who will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive business growth and articulate the cross-border components of Visa’s A2A and Wallet strategy, in collaboration with the Product and Regional organizations. The position is responsible for evolving the functional strategy to address new strategic issues and opportunities and for building strong commercial capabilities that will significantly grow Visa’s consumer cross-border business beyond carded flows.
This is a critical position reporting to the Global General Manager, Enterprise FX & Cross Border Solutions. This role requires strong structured problem solving, deep strategic understanding of the evolving payments landscape, with specific focus on account-based and wallet methods, strong commercial acumen, and an ability to collaborate and communicate across internal and external stakeholders. This individual will be expected to lead large cross-functional engagements, handle multiple projects at the same time, and present to senior audiences. They are adept at fostering collaboration across diverse cultures and geographies, demonstrating their acumen in a global setting.
In addition, this individual will work closely with the GM, Enterprise FX and Cross Border Solutions and other senior leaders to assess partnership and M&A opportunities associated with accelerating Visa’s cross-border business and improve our competitive positioning in this space.
Key Responsibilities:
Define Visa’s cross-border strategy for A2A and Wallets, in collaboration with the global product organization and regional leads. Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships which drive Visa’s cross border business as it pertains to the A2A and wallet strategy. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with strategic plans. Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement of goals. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on thorough analysis and projections. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities and adjust strategy as necessary to maintain a competitive edge. Support Visa’s corporate development cross-border focused agenda by identifying key capabilities which could significantly accelerate our cross-border revenues, assessing those capabilities relative to Visa’s position in the payments ecosystem, building business cases, and articulating recommendations for senior leadership.

Develop the Cross Border A2A & Wallet strategy at a global and regional level as appropriate, through a cohesive, integrated data-led approach for the short/mid/long-term to drive accelerated growth in Visa’s Cross Border business, consistent with Visa 2030.Build on Visa’s existing A2A and Wallet strategy and become the SME on driving the trajectory of the cross-border component of this business.Develop deep familiarity with key players and business models in the A2A and wallet space within each region and identify key trends which impact (positively or not) Visa’s consumer cross border businessLead identification of key cross border capabilities to execute on key strategic opportunities for the Cross Border A2A & Wallet strategy, including development of potential strategic partnerships, internal capabilities, and/or acquisition.Build strategic frameworks and content to influence, align with, and adapt functional/divisional strategies and drive product roadmap integration into the Global Product and regional organizations.Support General Manager/Regional partners in developing clear and concise executive level recommendations. Communicate recommendations to mid-senior management, other executives, for regional staff in a clear, concise and impactful way.In partnership with finance/product/data leads, setup performance monitoring for key strategic indicators as needed in order to track impact of key A2A and Wallet cross border initiativesAttends external speaking engagements where needed to outline Visa’s strategy, the latest trends in cross border A2A and wallet-based payment methods and promote our strategy and vision.Qualifications
