YOUR IMPACT:

 

OpenText is seeking an enthusiastic customer-focused leader to serve as Director, Customer Billing systems within the Corporate IT organization. This is a very visible and key global leadership role in OpenText with direct business impact, leading a team of functional and technical resources across the globe accountable for the development, expansion, and support of OT varied Customer billing systems. The right candidate will collaborate closely with the leaders in Billing as well as IT to deliver projects (small and large), creating value for the business users.

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

 

The successful leader will be responsible for:

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture and senior technology leaders to understand business objectives in developing the Billing Systems roadmapResponsible for leading team in the development and support of all billing platforms as well as executing on the roadmap.Working closely with OpenText Global COE footprint to achieve business objectives.Working with Architecture and rest of the peer network to develop and maintain Billing Systems Landscape.Accountable for delivery of change & bug-fixes for all Billing Systems Accountable for the operational upkeep of the Billing systems including SOX and other IT general controls.Key contributor to the overall technology delivery and ensuring the realization of goals such as reuse, infrastructure simplification, cost management and solution flexibility.Build strong cross-organizational relationships and effectively influence staff across the business and IT.Establishing clear goals and priorities for the global team, coaching and mentoring team members for high performancePromoting best practices with the team and across teamsCreating an environment of knowledge sharing and ongoing learningDeveloping career paths for your teamSuccessfully managing financial plans and budgetsApplication Stack: Galaxy, Zoura, Aria, Recurly and Custom-Built Applications etcManaging expectations of stakeholdersNegotiating with peers and business partnersBuilding a network of peers, business partners and external vendors/consultantsBreaking down complex business problems into technical solutions Working in a global operating model, with delivery and operational teams spread across geographies and people structures.Communicating on a technical and business level to Leadership teams Managing a demanding environmentTime management and managing multiple priorities.Strategic and critical thinkingDeveloping roadmaps and executing on them‘Automation focused’ and help promote a culture of continuous improvement.Presenting ideas in a clear and concise manner, with consideration of the target audiencePromoting best practices with the team and across teams Creating an environment of knowledge sharing and ongoing learningSuccessfully managing plans and budgetsTrusted leader, ability to motivate individuals and teams.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

 

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have good people skills.Must have superior analytical skills.Must have superior negotiation skills.Strong experience in leading complex Billing System environments.A strong background with cross-domain technology High-tech software services industry experience is a plus.A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, College diploma or equivalent experience.At least 10 years’ experience leading engineering / development resources.The ability to oversee multiple streams of work effectively.Experience with integrations of Mergers & Acquisitions is a plus.Ability to thrive is a fast paced, matrixed environment.Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
