**_CORE_**
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Business Intelligence and Analytics Director to establish and lead our Business Intelligence and Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). This role is pivotal in driving our organization's data-driven maturity by leveraging our data assets to inform strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
You are a capable executive responsible for establishing a Business Intelligence & Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) that brings together a team of experts who will utilize analytics and insights to drive strategy and proactively elevate data-driven action and insight generation across the enterprise. The COE Director will work with business units and functions to advance our reporting and business intelligence capabilities. Essential partners include Health Services, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Risk, Audit, and other key partners to deliver meaningful business solutions and impact.
The Business Intelligence & Analytics Director is a key role focused on coordinating with the organizational stakeholders identified above and with multiple internal IT Solutions and Data & Analytics stakeholders (Data Engineering, Data Product Management, Value Stream Product Delivery). Additionally, the Director will drive the establishment of standardized reporting and self-service capabilities, develop a deep understanding of data flows, and serve as the key Analytics subject matter expert at an enterprise level.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
**Establish and Operate the BI & Analytics COE:**
+ Build a Business Intelligence & Analytic Center of Excellence capability within the Data & Analytics organization to act as a conduit between the COE and business units and functions to understand business strategy and questions and the BI tactics being explored by the organization and throughout the industry. Build and lead a team of experts with deep knowledge of our organization and data sources. Foster a collaborative environment that combines business, IT, and analytics skills to drive impactful data initiatives. Establish Data Governance Standards, such as data-sharing protocols and processes for promoting analytic solutions from sandbox to production environments, in coordination with IT Solutions and Data & Analytics organization.
**Define BI/Analytic Vision & Roadmap:**
+ Develop and communicate a clear vision for data-driven maturity. Identify and implement the tools and KPIs necessary to measure and achieve business goals.Drive improvement to increase self-service capabilities throughout the enterprise and reduce the reliance on ad hoc data services. Evaluate and recommend tools and capabilities to maintain a competitive edge over the next three to five years in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Data Product, and Data Engineering.
**Program Management & Finances:**
+ Oversee data initiatives in collaboration with Business Units and Functions to ensure successful implementation and alignment with business goals. Manage the budget and allocate resources effectively to support priorities.
**People Management:**
+ Oversee the strategic and day-to-day activities of the team, including directing, coaching, and guiding employees to implement departmental, divisional, and enterprise goals. Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team. Evaluate the performance of each team member, generate development plans, and set goals within the context of the corporate policies and procedures, aligning enterprise needs with individual professional development or career path needs. Develop annual goals and prepare, monitor, and analyze variances of departmental financial forecasts, accruals, and budgets to control and appropriately allocate resources.
**Elevate Business Intelligence & Analytics Capabilities Across the Enterprise:**
+ Evangelize data capabilities with internal audience, customers, and industry forums. Assess competitors data offerings and identify gaps and opportunities. Assist with customer/user-facing communications such as marketing messages, RFP responses, release notes and support communications. Scan the horizon for emerging BI & Analytic strategies, tools, skills, techniques, and technologies to ensure their timely introduction for competitive advantage.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:**
This position manages people.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
**Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
**Experience:**
+ 8 years Progressive experience relating to data analytics/data analysis.
+ 3 years Management experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's Degre
+ Conceptual data and cloud architecture - understands major native data components in Azure and/or AWS and their relationships and use cases.
+ Mastery of relational database theory include SQL and at least one major RDBMS.
+ Well versed in Big Data scenarios and applications.
+ Experience with multiple analytics delivery tools, methods, and platforms including PowerBI and/or Tableau.
+ Understanding of Advanced Analytics use cases and the applications of AI/ML for predictive analytics.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)**
+ Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
+ Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, such as SAS, Excel, SQL.
+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
+ Ability to train others.
+ Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
+ Experience with PowerBI, Snowflake, Databricks, and other modern data technologies is a plus.
**Salary Range:** $146,720 - $272,349

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
