Director, Data Center Advisory Team – Americas Region

Job Title

Director, Data Center Advisory Team – Americas Region

Job Description Summary

The Opportunity & Purpose of the Role

The opportunity is to become part of an exciting revenue growth story unfolding in our IPM function. We have developed a proven global account management model for the occupiers of data centers in the EMEA region, which benefits both our clients and our brokerage/service line platforms in region.

The operating model is quite simple – we are about providing a consistent service delivery, across multiple workstreams and geographies for the occupiers of data centers, whether that be a Cloud Service Provider seeking to expand capacity through self-build programs or an Enterprise/Fortune 500 business deciding where and how to place their next Colocation deployment.

The DCAT team of IPM provides its clients with a regional/global single point of contact (i.e., Client Relationship Manager) to oversee individual or programs of transactions, ultimately with the aim of upholding standards, driving consistency, and aggregating/sharing lessons learned along the way.

Our enterprise clients (banking and finance in particular) are increasingly turning their attention from the physical aspects of their real estate portfolio to how their digital/data is going to be accommodated and protected moving forwards. This presents an added dimension for IPM across the Americas, as the data center/digital aspects of our client portfolios increasingly transition from a peripheral/non-real estate matter to a core and integrated part of their CRE strategies.

The successful candidate will work together with our regional and global Client Relationship Leads (CRLs) and their respective account teams, to engage clients and champion the importance of integrating digital strategies with their CRE, which ultimately will lead to new portfolio ideas and service/transactional mandates being created.

We expect that initially, the role will be quite broad as we define and refine the optimal operating model for the Americas. However, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the growth of data center opportunities across the Americas, as it serves as a key conduit between our managed occupier clients and our brokerage/service line platform. We fully expect the successful candidate to require additional support and hires, as momentum in this growth initiative builds.
