ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Science Director to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering audience solutions to our clients, working closely with media and data teams across our organization. By utilizing privacy-compliant technologies and applying data science techniques, you will build and deliver real-world insights to ensure personalized communications strategies that resonate with unique audiences, inspire health engagement in order to drive behavior change and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Real World Data, Data Science techniques, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively translate insights into actionable recommendations **Responsibilities** Responsibilities: + Consult with clients and internal agency stakeholders to understand their business objectives, target audiences and media strategies. Collaborate closely with teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven insights into their respective workflows. + Utilize real-world data sources and privacy-compliant technologies to analyze and derive insights that inform audience segmentation, targeting, and messaging strategies. + Develop and implement data science techniques and predictive modelling methodologies to uncover patterns, trends, and behavioral insights from complex data sets. Familiarity with the mathematics behind important algorithms such as Linear/Logistic Regression, Clustering, Bayesian Inference, etc. + Develop practical solutions and applications of advanced analytics/supervised & unsupervised learning techniques such as Decision Trees, Neural Networks, NLP, etc. + Leverage data infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of sources using SQL and cloud technologies such as Azure and Databricks. + Build and deliver impactful presentations, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams. + Embrace the agile process for delivery, participating in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and iterative development cycles to ensure speed and agility in project execution. + Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in real-world data, data science techniques and technologies to ensure best practices and compliance. + Foster a collaborative environment by actively engaging with cross-functional teams, encouraging knowledge sharing, and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making. + Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team, fostering their growth and development. Leadership & Team Development + Empower employees to think strategically and diversify reporting and analysis opportunities + Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across business units, corporate functions to support alignment of strategic recommendations + Create and maintain a work environment that drives results, calculated risk-taking, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes + Analyzes complex, evolving circumstances and takes corrective action to avoid resource constraints and meet deadlines + Create and evangelize new tech driven process to ensure universal BI team adoption Strategic Innovation and growth + Leverages client feedback, market research and competitive intelligence to inform innovation and incremental opportunities + Develop central strategies that are ingrained in relevant insights, have a connective thread to a larger organizing thought (“Big Idea”), and can lead to breakthrough ideas and plans. + Acts as a trusted advisor and consultative partner for clients and internal stakeholders + Sets tactical plans for analytics, optimizations, and performance strategies and execution to adhere to client deliverables and deadlines + Be the strategic partner with PHMs Tech and Data lead to innovate measurement and data capabilities, including, but not limited to: + Aid in the development of internal customer data platforms. + Aid in the creation of analytics roadmap utilizing tech expertise for automation and agility + Network with other Publicis entities to bring new solutions to PHM’s Business Intelligence standard offerings + Assist in the onboarding of new tech and data offerings to all PHM clients. **Qualifications** ABOUT YOU 1. REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred. + Proven experience in a similar role, delivering real-world data insights and/or audience solutions to clients. + Strong expertise in Real World Data, including knowledge of data sources, data collection methodologies, and privacy regulations. + Proficiency in data science techniques such as statistical modeling, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data visualization. + Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake platforms and services for data processing, storage, and analysis. + Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R, along with experience working with data analysis tools and platforms. + Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and analysis. + Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and apply data-driven approaches to solve business challenges. + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. + Experience in the advertising, marketing, or communications industry is a plus. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
